The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.
If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
The Archvist iOS, iPadOS and MacOS apps do not collect any of your personal or document related information. Since the applications use Apple Inc.'s Cloud Kit and iCloud Drive services, we are not able to access your documents so your data privacy and security entirely depends on Apple Inc.'s services and service quality.
"Cloud Kit" and "iCloud Drive" are services and trademarks registered by Apple Inc.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

Archivist App follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site and tracking users' movement on the website. Archivist website does not track you across other websites you visit.
Advertising Partners Privacy Policies
Archivist app and the website are ad-free - we have no advertising partners.
Third Party Privacy Policies
Archivist App's Privacy Policy does not apply to Apple Inc. whose services Archivist iOS, iPadOs and MacOs use. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of Apple Inc. for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.
Archvist iOS, iPadOS and MacOS apps offer the option to activate AI document properties detection - an automated way to set document properties such as the title, topics and the document type. This option is switched off by default.
Artificial intelligence (AI) document properties detection functions by sending an excerpt of the document to OpenAI's GPT server. As a result, the document data, or parts of it, is transmitted to a third party, namely OpenAI. The decision to trust OpenAI is entirely up to you, the user. The developers of Archivist are not responsible for possible legal infringements committed by OpenAI.

Archvist website does not use any cookies. If this should change in the future, we will updated this privacy policy accordingly.

The above section is only included as default disclaimer in this privcacy policy. Since Archivist app does not have any authentication functionality, in fact, we do not collect personal data through Archivist app.
Children's Information
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
Archivist App does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
